Architecting a Community-Centered AI Innovation Model

Challenge

How do we move beyond teaching AI tools to creating community capacity, leadership, and long-term impact?

LightedX served as the program architect, leading the design of the AI Literacy & Community Innovation Hub from concept through implementation. This included developing the program strategy, curriculum, community engagement model, implementation framework, learning experience, evaluation approach, and continuous improvement process.

Rather than treating evaluation as an end point, participant feedback was intentionally integrated into an iterative learning model that informed program refinement in real time.

Outcome

The initiative demonstrated outcomes extending beyond AI literacy, including:

Increased confidence and responsible AI use

Community leadership and peer-to-peer knowledge sharing

AI-enabled storytelling and civic participation

A growing framework for community-centered AI adoption

Participant insights are now informing the evolution of the model and future program design.
